Our membership is formed by persons who have suffered spinal cord injuries. Most of us were immigrants and low-wage workers before our accidents, and now being on a wheel chair makes things more difficult. We are poor and we support one another through solidarity that breaks the isolation that society and poverty impose on us.  We face isolation also due to repressive immigration policies, but with our work and the support of our families we can experience the freedom of working together to build our power and defend our rights.
