Historic Power Grid Failure During One of the Coldest Winters In Houston

17 Feb 2021

Houston and the rest of Texas is experiencing a colossal failure of our power grid during one of the coldest, snowiest winters on record. In Houston and Harris County it has left close to 1.4 million people without electricity and water. Food and water is scarce and hotels are booked. It's extremely cold.

Living Hope is raising money for an emergency fund to help defray costs that our members are incurring due to this power outage. Among the costs are:

  • Repairs for homes damaged due to water pipes bursting
  • Replacement of damaged medical equipment
  • Replacement of food lost due to the power outage

Your donation will help us help folks get back on our feet. Please donate here.
